LAHORE: A crucial meeting between Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was underway at the premier's residence, Geo News reported.According to sources, the two leaders will be discussing matters relating to politics in the backdrop of heightened political temperature in the country.
Before the meeting Shahbaz Sharif met PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and discussed the political situation. Nawaz Sharif has on various occasions stated that the PML-N would not take part in any move that could derail the system.
The meeting holds particular significance in the wake of Muttahida Qaumi Movement's decision announced on Sunday to sit on opposition benches in the National Assembly and the Senate.
